CRS has completed console and AV works for Chevron in both the Gorgon projects (Perth and Barrow Island), and the Wheatstone project (Perth, Onslow and off shore).
Between both projects we delivered a total of 36 consoles, in 8 different configurations, over 5 sites. Each console project had different design challenges and requirements which we had to address. By following strict document control policies and drawing sign offs we ensured all consoles where delivered on time and in a satisfactory manner. Often our work was scrutinized by third party Q&A assessors and all but a few minimal issues where found that could be easily rectified on site at no additional cost to the customer.
Initially a consulting project for the design of the Central Control Room, this evolved into the delivery of three identical systems for the Wheatstone Platform, OTS and ADE in Perth. Each of the three sites consists of:
Our involvement with Gorgon started with the installation of five Evans Response Consoles into the Gorgon control room.
Beyond the initial installation of the Response consoles, CRS worked directly with Chevron, receiving a clear brief to work with Evans to design a further eleven consoles. This included a console for 24/7 marine and port monitoring, a console for 24/7 security monitoring, five consoles for the Incident and Emergency Management Team in an emergency collaboration room, and four consoles for operator training simulation. Critical Room Solutions also assisted with the layout of the consoles in the rooms and provided cabling infrastructure.
